EKPrint Studio is designed for textile material printer. It supports various print material with either dark or light colors.
What is required to run EKPrint Studio?
A PC with at least 512 MB memory (1 GB is recommended) running with Windows XP, 2000 operating system, a network Ethernet card installed, an EKPrint Studio compatible printer driver and a valid license file. A CD or DVD drive is needed to install the software using a EKPrint Studio installation CD.
What are the advantages of using EKPrint Studio?
The EKPrint Studio supports dark print material printing. It also has the features like picture rotation, zooming, and adding offset of the picture. With EKPrint Studio, you can load a designed picture and start print immediately without the need to purchase expensive photo editing software packages.
A license file is needed to run EKPrint Studio software. Without a valid license file, EKPrint Studio will run under evaluation mode for 30 days. After 30 days evaluation period, the print capability of EKPrint Studio will be disabled. Listed below is the procedure on how to get a license file.
If the PC where EKPrint Studio is installed has an internet connection:
1) After installing your EKPrint Studio software and the compatible printer driver, Start the EKPrint Studio Program from your PC desktop by click Start->Program->EUKON Digital->EKPrint Studio->EKPrint Studio.
2) Click on the Menu Help->Product Activation
3) Select Activate through internet
4) Fill in required information
Note: The EKPrint Serial Number is printed on the label of the EKPrint Studio Installation CD back cover.
If the PC where EKPrint Studio is installed does not have an internet connection:
1) After installing your EKPrint Studio software and the compatible printer driver, Start the EKPrint Studio Program from your PC desktop by click Start->Program->EUKON Digital->EKPrint Studio->EKPrint Studio.
2) Click on the Menu Help->MAC Address
Write down the Physical Address (MAC) with format ( xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx) of the network card.
Fill in the following information in License Request
a) Name: ( Your name or your company name)
b) EKPrint Studio Serial # : ( Printed on the label of the EKPrint Studio installation CD cover)
c) Phone:
d) Email: ( Your email address, the license file will be emailed to this address)
e) Network card Information (MAC): ( The information you have written done by using in step 1) and 2))
3) A license file (license.txt) will be generated and emailed back to you.
4) Copy the license.txt file to the directory where the EKPrint Studio software is installed, The default directory is c:\Program files\Eukon Digital\EKPrint Studio\
Click on Load button and select picture file you would like to print. For dark print material, check the Enable check box in the Black Textile Print section. Then click on the Print button.
What is Black Textile Printing?
The Black Textile Print feature is designed to print graphics design on dark print material, it will first print the print area with a white base ink, and then print graphics on top of the white base ink.
What picture file formats are supported?
Current version of EKPrint Studio supports TIFF, JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG, EXIF files in RGB mode, it supports TIFF, GIF, PNG files with transparency information. For JPEG or BMP file to print on dark color print material, user can select a specific color in the design as transparent area.
